State Police to Participate in DEA National Take Back Day


Santa Fe CountyOn Saturday, October 26, 2013; State Police will be partnering up with the Drug Enforcement Agencys National Take Back Day. This is a program that focuses on removing potentially dangerous controlled substances from our nations medicine cabinets. This program will give the publ ic the opportunity to surrender expired, unwanted, or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances to law enforcement offices for destruction. This will be a state-wide participation event with State Police. The drop off times will be Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The locations will be at the below State Police offices:

Each office location will have an officer available to take possession of the unwanted medications. This program will ensure the safety of New Mexicos communities. ###
