The current curricula do not cater for the needs of all children

The purpose of this paper is to draw attention to the educational system and curriculum issues that affect students. Firstly, I think that our educational system in a high proportion does not help the individual to grow in a positive way. The actual educational system (and I think the past too) focuses on serving society , the good of society. Education should be a special word. When we say educated ... we should think about grown, evolved. Interpretations can be enough. But I still wonder in what sense evolved and grown? Our school emphasizes on society ignoring individual. It pours lot of

information without thinking about the special and different characteristics of every child. Our educational system issues counterbalances in a large amount. Finally, this is its purpose. There is no need of individuals that are asking too many questions. This would mean, that the wealth of the world, spiritual or material, would have to be divided to a high number of individuals. Our leaders wouldn`t like it! Secondly, I believe that education is more than millions of information accumulated, reading dozens of books, and having a stack of diplomas or an IQ over 120. Platon defined education as "the art of forming good habits or develop native skills for virtue of those who have them. In other words, education refers primarily to the virtues. Romania is known as a nation of smart people, but a brilliant mind devoid of virtue is a step towards disaster. Study programs are made up of dozens of materials with a large and complex content that pupils and students are obliged to learn "parrot", without anyone explain the true utility of those concepts and what is their relevance to a future career they want to pursue. I think every school subject must answer the following questions:

"What are the skills that are acquired by a pupil / student after he successfully finishes this course?"

"Why a pupil / student would appreciate that in terms of utility for his future career, this discipline is very useful?"

In conclusion, we all should realize the educational issues and solve them step by step, not to overthrow the whole system every year. If we remain silent, we will live with the impression that everything goes well.
