Carnavalul mastilor de Halloween

Halloween este o srbtoare preluat astzi de multe popoare din lumea occidental, rspndindu -se n secolul al XIX-lea prin intermediul imigranilor irlandezi din Statele Unite ale Americii. Ea este srbtorit n noaptea de 31 octombrie. Numele provine din limba englez, de la expresia All Hallows Even (Ajunul Sarbatorii Tuturor Sfintilor), srbtoare cu care Halloween-ul a devenit asociat n rile unde predomin cretinismul occidental. Povestea spune ca, in aceasta zi, spiritele persoanelor care au murit se intorc pe pamant in cautarea unor corpuri vii, pentru a le poseda. Celtii considerau ca toate legile spatiului si timpului sunt suspendate in aceasta zi, permitandu-le spiritelor sa interactioneze cu cei vii. Astfel, in noaptea de 31 octombrie, satenii stingeau focurile din casele lor pentru a arata spiritelor ca sunt nedorite. Oamenii se imbracau in costume caraghioase si participau la parade galagioase in cartierul lor pentru a speria spiritele. Specific pentru Halloween este dovleacul cioplit, care reprezint Lanterna lui Jack. Cu ocazia acestei srbtori, copiii se imbraca in diferite costume i colind de la o casa la alta strigand Trick or Treat?, ca o ameninare c dac nu li se dau dulciuri, persoanei colindate i se va juca o fars. La scoli profesorii organizeaza impreuna cu elevii mai multe activitati incepand de la parade pana jucarea unei piese de teatru specifice acestei zi .

The story tells that , on this day , the spirits of people who have died, return to earth in search of living bodies to possess. The Celts believed all laws of space and time were suspended during this day , allowing them to interact with the living spirit . This way, on the night of October 31, villagers extinguished the fires in their homes to show the spirits that are undesirable . People dressed in funny costumes and attending noisy parades in their neighborhood to scare the spirits. Specific for Halloween the carved pumkin representing Lantern Jack . During this holiday , children dressed in various costumes and go from one house to another shouting Trick or Treat ? . As a threat, if they wont recive sweets, that person will get pranked. The school and the teachers organize with students several activities ranging from parades to playing a specific theater that day.
