An Annotated Bibliography This annotate bibliography was compiled in order to explore; it is getting extremely exigent and huge topic of same-sex marriage. My research is about a same-sex marriage. The reason why I got interested in this topic was after I met gay friends and lesbian friends. Also after I studied psychology I got interested in this topic. This topic is really exigent and controversial issue in U.S right now because some states are banning same-sex marriage, it is not acceptable for religious people and some people think it is against nature. However there are people who support this topic and try to allow same-sex marriage in U.S. popular website such as CNN, New York Times, BBC etc. they publish article about same-sex marriage every day. People look same-sex marriage different than long time ago so this mean is the culture has been shifted. As I kept research about my topic I got the questions about is gay or lesbian people are born in that way? Is it meant to be born gay or lesbian or environment made them? My research question: Is should we allow same-sex marriage? Between the date of October 7, 2013 and October 18 2013, I conducted the research that conveys in this annotated bibliography. I included four sources, one of which is academic article that published in academic search premier. Other remaining three sources are from the websites, which are talking about same-sex marriage.

Web. 7 Oct. 2013 This is a research study article that intended people interest in same-sex marriage. The purpose of this study is to show there are more positive side views of same-sex marriage than negative sides in media coverage. This is a primary research because the research is done by Pew Research Center. The research team looked about 500 stories on this topic and they said the pros about same-sex marriage are dominated by the cons views. They said the stories have lots of polls showing that our society is moving to support same-sex marriage and political people same-sex marriage speech affects our views. They did the survey that about 51 percent people favored accept a same-sex marriage and about 45 percent are opposite side.

This source is credible because Pew Research Center is a huge organization that does lots of research about LGBT. Also the article is published recently. However, the author wasnt professional for this field.

This study helps me to understand different sides about pros and cons for same-sex marriage. Also I can now see there are more positive sides about same-sex marriage. The article gives us two different stakeholder perspectives such as cons and pros about samesex marriage.

This academic article is intended who are interested in same-sex marriage and about public opinion. The purpose of this article is to show the children who have gay or lesbian parents still have more challenges than children who have normal parents. This is a primary research because they researchers did survey to explore more about public opinion on different types about household. The first point is that Pew Researcher Center made specific tables to show different perspectives about gay or lesbian families. Also this study includes a culture shift about same-sex marriage. They showed specific percentages of how people changed attitude about same-sex marriage.

There are some factors that show credible of this source. First one is this source is published in September 23, 2013 which is only one month ago source. Also it published in academic search premier which is website that only can publish peer-review, academic article. However, there is one limitation of this source; this source isnt enough to talk allowing same-sex marriage so it isnt cover my entire research question.

This academic article helps me think more about my research question because it gave me the public opinion about same-sex marriage and different perspectives. The stakeholder signified same-sex family.

Web 7 Oct. 2013 This is a personal opinion article and intended to who are supporting a same-sex marriage. The purpose of this article is why we should support a same-sex marriage. This is a type of personal experiences article. The author is supporting his point by divide three reasons. One is the study of brain shows being gay or lesbian is who we are so we have to let it be. Second part is using of religious facts and it is time to move on. Third author said there are homosexual species around the world. Also the author includes a Washington PostABC News Poll to show how people are now supports same-sex marriage. In 2004 about 41% disagree with legal same-sex marriage but during 2013 about 58% people legal same-sex marriage.

This source is credible because the date of publication is recent; also this publication place is related to New York news so it is credible. However this source has limitation such as the author isnt professional for this field.

This research is helped to answer my research because it provides three specific reasons why we should support same-sax marriage equality and that helps me understand. The stakeholder represented same-sex marriage supporters.

Lee 5 The purpose of this article is Obama got change view of same-sex marriage this article is intended people who are gay or lesbian. The purpose of this article is how our society has been changed and also president Obama. This is a quotation because it include speech and thought from president Obama. This article is support by Obamas claims, first he said he only believe man and woman marriage and second he talked about grant same-sex couples and finally he support rights same-sex marriage.

This source is credible because it is from CNN and the author is CNN Supreme Court producer. Also the article posted recently. However, this article has limitation such as it doesnt have clear separate viewpoints about same-sex marriage.

This article helps me to decide my research question because it has president Obamas viewpoints about same-sex marriage that talks about culture has been shifted and now people accepts same-sex marriage. There are two perspectives in this which agree with Obamas opinion and disagree with his opinion. There are those two are stakeholders
