During this time we have the privilege of working under the guidance of a certified athletic trainer to implement academic knowledge and tailor that knowledge to real world experiences. While at various clinical sites, we are given the opportunity to perform assessments, conduct rehabilitation programs, and maintain equipment along with numerous other services that we will apply in our careers. These experiences are a major component in the refinement of these skills so that we may enter the profession as competent and hardworking athletic trainers. Collegiate: Indiana University Football (NCAA DI) January April 2014 Upcoming Internship Davenport University (NAIA going NCAA DII) January April 2013 Experience with mens and womens basketball, mens rugby, mens and womens lacrosse, baseball, and softball. Assisted in the rehabilitation of multiple ACL injuries. Facilitated the return of normal range of motion in a track athletes shoulder following Labral surgery. Implemented modalities such as Interex with a variety of athletes. Grand Valley State University Baseball (NCAA DII) January April 2012 Assisted In the rehabilitation of chronic shoulder pain using PNF exercises. Aided in the evaluation of a lumbar disk pathology. Conducted daily rehabilitation with an athlete suffering from Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome. Assisted in forming a custom thumb splint for the prevention of a UCL sprain in a catcher. General Medical: North Ottawa Community Hospital May and October 2013 Observed the evaluation and relocation of bilateral radius fractures. Aided in the wrapping and bandaging of a lower leg laceration. Observed the imaging and reading of numerous x-rays including metacarpal, radius, tibia, and phalanx fractures. Assisted in the reduction of two elbow dislocations. High School: Zeeland West High School August Present 2013 Experience with football, boys and girls cross country, girls swimming, girls volleyball and boys soccer. Evaluated several ACL injuries that occurred during football. Administered baseline and follow-up Impact Tests to a multitude of athletes. Assisted in the monitoring of blood glucose levels in a diabetic football athlete.

Jenison High School August December 2012 Experience with football, boys soccer, boys and girls cross country, girls swimming, boys water polo, girls volleyball, and boys hockey. Evaluated a girls swimmer with De Quervains Syndrome. Aided in the execution of an emergency action plan after a track athlete hit his head and lost consciousness. North Carolina July 2006 o Did various construction projects on residential homes. Employment: Brookview Lawncare o Maintained the lawns and landscaping of various companies. Pioneer Seeds Inc. o Drove a personnel carrier and was responsible for the work of 12 employees. Coastal Containers o Worked in the factory producing containers for numerous companies.
