Overview
New Electronic Ticketing functionality for users of Apollo (1V) and Galileo (1G) to request a same day
void of an exchange/reissue transaction with carriers that will accept this transaction type.

Customer Benefit
Void an exchange/reissue to correct an error within the same calendar day.
Efficient and cost effective.

Detail and Customer Examples

Void Exchange/Reissue Transaction

1. Will only be allowed within the same calendar day of the exchange/reissue transaction.
2. May only be requested by the same issuing agency location or authorized branch location.
3. Not allowed with partially used, used, refunded or voided Electronic Tickets.
4. Allowed for Electronic to Electronic and Electronic to Paper Ticket exchanges.
5. Paper to Electronic Ticket exchanges will continue to support use of the RRVO Void in Apollo
and TRV Void in Galileo.
6. Coupon(s) status of the new ticket from an Electronic to Electronic exchange/reissue must be
“Open for Use” (OPEN or ARPT) and EXCH for the ticket being exchanged.
7. When the new ticket is Electronic, a Settlement Authorization Code (SAC) will be transmitted by
the validating carrier upon positive acknowledgement of the void request. A SAC will not be
transmitted when the new ticket is Paper.
8. A void request is required to be repeated by the user until a positive acknowledgement is
received from the validating carrier.
9. May not be reversed or un-voided after void.
10. Requires carrier acceptance of this transaction type.
11. Only requires input of first ticket number for conjunction tickets.
12. May be voided within or outside PNR/BF.
13. Updates to DAR (Apollo), Enhanced TINS and TINS History (Galileo) as noted in examples.
14. Issues Void MIR as noted in the following examples.

Void Exchange/Reissue User Responses for Electronic Tickets

Note: Error responses will apply to both Apollo and Galileo unless otherwise noted.

If an attempt is made to issue an Apollo Void Exchange/Reissue and the new ticket issued cannot be
found in the same calendar day, the following error will be displayed:
VOID NOT ACCEPTED – TKT NBR NOT FOUND

If an attempt is made to issue a Galileo Void Exchange/Reissue and the new ticket issued cannot be
found in the same calendar day, the following error will be displayed:
TICKET NUMBER NOT FOUND – OUTSIDE VOIDING PERIOD

 If an attempt is made to enter an Apollo Void Exchange/Reissue (RRVE) in the incorrect format, the
following error will be displayed:

If an attempt is made to enter a Galileo Void Exchange/Reissue (TRVE) in the incorrect format, the
following error will be displayed:
INVALID INPUT

If a Void Exchange/Reissue is attempted on an Electronic Ticket where the coupon(s) status is

RFND, the following error will be displayed:
UNABLE TO VOID A REFUNDED TICKET

If the coupon(s) status of the new ticket in an Electronic to Electronic Void Exchange/Reissue is not
marked as “Open for Use” and EXCH for the ticket being exchanged, the following error will be
displayed:
UNABLE TO CHANGE STATUS TO VOID

A successfully executed Apollo Void Exchange/Reissue transaction will be followed by the response:
