Amending Infotype Screen Fields 4.

When an infotype screen is used, often there are fields which you wish to remove. Also, there may be fields you wish to make mandatory. This is a simple task. The first step is to find which screen is being used. To do this, go into the infotype screen you are working with, and go to System Status. This should show a screen like this:

Take note of the Program (screen) and Screen number. Then go into the IM !transaction "#$%& and use this menu path which if from v'.( ) the path is similar in other versions of "A#: Personnel Management Personnel Administration Customizing User Interface Determine Screen Modification *lick the button at the bottom of the screen. In the bo+ that appears, enter the program number found ,% -%T enter the screen number.

Then press .enter/. This e+ample uses infotype 0001 for the 23 which uses screen 1004. A list will appear similar to this:

This list shows all the different screen versions depending on the variable key. is the country number !molga&. More on this later.

5or a simple e+ample, double click on the row that corresponds to your country and the Alt. Screen number you found earlier. This should show a screen similar to this:

Against each filed, you have the option to tick the radio button for various options: "td "A# "tandard ) i.e. whatever characteristics the field has pre6defined $5 "elect this to make the field mandatory ) i.e. $e7uired 5ield 8 $5 %5 "elect this to make the field optional %utp "elect this to make the field display only !not normally used& 9ide "elect this to remove the field from the screen altogether.
