    Malignant melanoma is one of the malignant tumors whose incidence has risen markedly in recent decades. There has long been debate in the medical community about the potential adverse effects of female hormones, both exogenous and endogenous pregnancy-related hormones, on melanocytic nevi and malignant melanoma. As women have been delaying pregnancy until their thirties and forties, and the incidence of malignant melanoma increases in these decades, the likelihood of this tumor developing during pregnancy has increased. Recent clinical and experimental evidence suggests that pregnancy does not affect melanoma prognosis and does not seem to lead to significant changes in nevi. This review examines the relationship between malignant melanoma, hormonal factors, and reproductive factors.
