Before: Suddenly, after 20 days of violent exchange of gun fires, Zamboanga is starting to return to its normal condition.

The city proper is slowly gaining its business activity. Peddlers and street beggars are once again in place. People are slowly going outside their homes and stores are starting to open. People are struggling to do their shopping before the curfew comes. Traffic once again catches up in certain roads except those roads blocked in affected areas.

For some people, life was getting better since the standoff. Sari-sari stores are slowly opening their business. A few days back, even if you had the money to buy goods, you wouldnt be able to utilize it because the nearest sari-sari sores to your house are closed.

During: Together, Zamboanguenos anticipated the rising sun the next day for its radiance is about to give them hope for a new life, a new beginning after the crisis. And each awakened the net day only to find out that instead of the sun was a coming typhoon brooding in the sky, about to envelope the city in another week of uncertainty and darkness.

For how many days it continued to rain, water broke through dams and rivers overflowed to houses. We were very lucky in Mercedes for we are located in higher grounds than the other barangays. The water level didnt go up too much here. Sadly what I witnessed during these days was another tragedy of other Zamboanguenos, it is not yet too far from the tragedy of the arm conflict in the city yet another devastating calamity had come upon Zamboanga. In the news I saw over the waist flood, in fact other barangays like Brgy. San Jose Gusu has 6ft of water level that had gone up and covered their whole barangay. Another batch of people is brought to evacuation centers. For the victims of the flood this place was their safe haven now away from the misery that they left behind.

Post: After a week of continuous raining, the Sun finally shone and raises its mighty heat. Flood waters finally gone lower. Though there is some occasional raining that still occurs but not as strong as the rain of previous week. There are a lot of properties that had been damaged, a lot of lives that had gone, but what is important is what is left. The government is very impressive, it continuously guide and assist all

the people affected by the flood and the typhoon that hit Zamboanga and as well those people affected by the arm conflict.
