1. What government position do you think Rizal would occupy for the benefit of the Filipinos? Why? I think the position that Rizal would run for would be being the president. If he was the president, i have no doubt he would have been gravely concerned with the state of our country brought about by the corrupted government of the past. In searching to develop a comprehensive response to the challenge of the country, Rizal's thoroughness would have shown him to the address the technological, financial, and regulatory part of specific problems in our country. Still, I know he would not stopped at that. Rizal would have pushed for consensus-building at a more profound level: through dialogue and exchange, sharing and examining our respective views on nature, on the relation between humanity and nature, on our values. 2. What virtues of Rizal could be best emulated by: a. Youth of today: Rizals virtue of being hunger for knowledge and treating his education sincerely. Another is being a loving child to his parents, being patriotic to his country and being a good friend just like his relationship with Ferdinand Blumentritt. b. Government officials: Rizals virtue of loving his fellow countrymen and to his country and being willing to sacrifice his own safety and life for his motherland. How he systematically think of the process and solution in problems in a calm manner. c. People seeking for change: Rizals of complete resolve and determination to see what his actions will result into without fearing death itself and accepting it. Rizals never ending endeavor in writing reforms to the government seeking the liberation of his fellow countrymen from oppression.
