Area, Visual Inspection: Check the LP Compressor (Fan) blades and Inlet Guide Vane (IGV) aerofoils for damage. Check LP Compressor for freedom of rotation. Check the LP Compressor blade tip rub strip for heavy wear. Check the blade root annulus fillers for cracks. Check the P20/T20 probe for damage and security. Check the Inlet Cowl for damage. Check the air intake fairing/spinner for damage and the security of the rubber tip. Check EEC Cooling Duct Inlet and Outlet for cracking and damage.

Area, Visual Inspection: Check the EEC mount security. Check harnesses for chafing, cuts, abrasion and security of connectors. Check harness clamps for chafing and general condition. Check all pressure tubes for damage, security and tightness of connections. Check the security of the Data Entry Plug, and integrity of lanyard. Check the EUPB Cooling Air Inlet, Outlet and debris guard are not blocked. Check the Cooling Ducts are correctly attached at the EUPB.

For fault in Airbus Trouble Shooting Manual Inspect harness. Start engine, run to idle, stabilise for at least 5 minutes, switch off the boost pump for 1 minute while at idle, switch on boost pump, shut down. An ECAM message with the boost pump off indicates a deteriorated fuel pump. Start engine, run to idle, stabilise for at least 5 minutes, shut down, read Last Leg Report(s) Check ECAM for N1 RATED MODE SELECTED . If not shown then fly the aircraft. Start engine, run to idle, stabilise for at least 2 minutes, use the ACMS Parameter Call Up menu and monitor the T20 values from the aircraft (TAT) and the engine (T20V), shut down. Also, inspect P20 tube for blockage/leakage

Perform system test when the failure has been detected without engine running. Also check for blocked EUPB cooling ducts. If ECAM warning EPR MODE FAULT is shown. However, if ECAM shows LP SHAFT PROT LOSS and IGN SUPPLY FAULT , carry out Engine Run5.

Check ECAM for ENG i MINOR FAULT Ground scanning followed by removal of RVT KS1, followed by Ground Scan, then refit. Then similar for RVTs KS2 - KS4. If no maintenance messages are generated, then carry out the Thrust Reverser Test. 20 Examine the outer surface of the pivot doors to see if they align with the outer surface of the fan cowl doors. If they are aligned, perform a Ground Scan. If no maintenance messages are generated, carry out an Engine Test: Thrust Reverser Test.

Perform Ground Scanning with the isolation control unit in the NOT inhibited mode followed by Ground Scanning with the isolation control unit in the inhibited mode. If there are no faults reported in Ground Scan with the Filter Differential Pressure Switch, then carry out an Engine Run5 and check for maintenance message and ECAM warning ENG i OIL FILTER CLOG . Check cockpit SD DU, and engine oil tank sight glass.
