Dragonkeeper: A Book Review

It is not often that a childrens book comes along that has both intriguing adventure, and poignant scenes that often share a parallel to todays age. Carole Wilkinsons amazing fantasy novel Dragonkeeper does both of those things and it is done with such incredible skill that will simply take your breath away. China. 3rd Century BCE. Han Dynasty. The Huangling Mountains. These stark locations allows accomplished author Wilkinson to aptly describe the incredible adventure that is the events of this novel. Before I delve deeper into the events of this novel, I will outline the detailed plot. Ping, a lowly slave girl, tends to the dwindling Imperial Dragons at the bleak Huangling Palace. She is lonely, with only a rat, Hua, for company, and she is bullied by the cruel and cowardly Master Lan.
