Aurlio Magnani

Aurlio Magnani
Aurelio Magnani (18561921) was an Italian teacher of and performer on the clarinet. He taught in Venice and Rome. He wrote a book on clarinet method (dedicated to Cyrille Rose from the Paris Opera). He also wrote a Mazurka Caprice that can be heard on some recent reissues of historical recordings by Louis Cahuzac. According to the liner notes, the work is "pure charm throughout, and shows the craftsmanship of someone who knows the clarinet intimately".[1]
