discussion in order to later compare Freuds view with a Neo-Freudian view
through the use of a primary source document.

Students will work in groups of 3-4 in order to analyze the important differences
and similarities within the field of psychoanalytic psychologist in regards to
personality.

Context:
This lesson would be used in a psychology course about personality or Sigmund Freud.
This lesson could also be used in looking at the perspective of psychoanalysis. This lesson goes
over the theories provided by Freud. Students also take into account the context in which he is
coming up with his theories and how his theories change in context. Students compare more
modern psychoanalytic theories with Freud and question his relevancy in psychological theory.
