Connecting to a Projector (Mac)

1. Connect the dongle to the DVI cable. 4. Log into the Mac side and go to the Apple
menu.

5. Select System Preferences > Displays.

6. Choose the Arrangement tab and check


Mirror Displays.

2. Plug the dongle into the Mini- DVI Connector port.

Both the visual and audio components of your


projector should now be functioning on the
Mac.

3. Plug the speakers into the audio output.

Note: Remember to bring all external pieces


(e.g. dongle, Ethernet cable, etc.) with you in
case these are not provided.
Connecting to a Projector Wirelessly
All Epson Powerlite825 projectors have the capability to project wirelessly. While you
should always connect to a projector hard wired if possible, there are some instances in
which you may want to connect wirelessly:

• You cannot connect hardwired


• You are using low bandwidth applications
• You are doing group work in class in which multiple students need to project from a
school laptop.

To Connect to a Wireless Projector for the First Time:

1. Press either LAN OR EASYMP on the projector remote control(depends on the


remote model)
2. Open the Epson Connection V2.51 software. If you have not already installed
the software, you must download it from Self Service or the Epson website. If
downloaded through Self Service, you will find the application in Glenbrook
Applications on the desktop.
3. Upon launching the program for the first time, the dialogue box to below may
appear. Check the box next to Create an exception for the program in

Windows Firewall and click No.


4. When the next dialogue box appears, select Advanced Connection and click
Don’t show me this again.
5. A window will appear stating that no projector has been found. Click OK.
6. Click on the Manual Search button at the top of the window.
7. Type in the IP address that is displayed on the projector screen. IMPORTANT: DO
NOT put zeros in front of numbers.
Example: If the IP address displayed on the screen
is 010.002.011.87, type in the IP address as shown
to the right:
8. Once the projector namedisplays and the status is Standby, check the box next to it.
9. Click Save in profile. In profile name type in the room number and click Add.
This will allow you to quickly connect to any saved projectors during subsequent
use.

10.Click Connect.
11.Once you are done using the projector, click Disconnect on the toolbar at the
bottom right.

Connecting Wirelessly to a Projector After the First Time


1. Press either LAN OR EASYMP on the projector remote control (depends on the
remote model).
2. Open the Epson Connection V2.51 software.
3. A window will appear stating that no projector has been found. Click OK.
4. Click on the Profile button at the top.
5. Select the projector you would like to connect to.
6. Once the projector appears and the status is on Standby, check the box next to the
projector and click Connect.
7. When you are done using the projector, click Disconnect on the toolbar at the
bottom right.
