ABSTRACT

In many communication applications retransmission of lost packets is a very important aspect. Here we introduced an efficient approach to transmission of discrete wavelet transformation based compressed video frames transmission over the OFDM channels with the increasing use of multimedia applications like mobile applications, Digital ideo !roadcasting, "rd #eneration cellular networks and video conferencing. Hence we need to compress the frames before transmission then we sends those compressed information. For that, OFDM system provides an opportunity to e$ploit the diversity in fre%uency domain by providing a number of subcarriers, which can work as multiple channels for applications having multiple bit streams. In this pro&ect we present an energy saving approach to transmission of discrete wavelet transformation 'D()* based compressed video frames over the OFDM channels. (e analy+ed the performance of the proposed system, supported by M,)-,! simulations. we demonstrate the usefulness of our proposed scheme in terms of system energy saving without compromising the received %uality.
