What do you need to focus and learn? What motivates you? What kind of feedback helps you succeed (authoritative, direct, encouragement, challenges, independent self-assessments)? What are your pet peeves? What will disrupt your ability to learn?

I prefer quiet environments to focus and I learn best from visual input. I am motivated by my desire to help others and make a real difference. My family motivates me to succeed and work hard to achieve my goals. I do best with encouraging feedback but I also like to be challenged so that I know how I might do something better. One of my pet peeves is when people act in their own interest at the expense of others. This applies to classroom environments, where someone who is offtask, disruptive, or even just apathetic can poison the learning environment. I have a hard time learning when there are a lot of distractions around me and also when I am not present and my mind is on something else.
