Week 3 The Planets and Their Moons Day 13 Objective: Students will finish gathering pictures and begin

iMovie Presentations. Students will: Compare and contrast the inner planets Compare and contrast the outer planets Compare and contrast these planets moons California Standards: Science 4. Preparation: Set up class iPads/MacBooks, iMovie tutorial ready to show class Materials: iPad/MacBook (Class set) Solar Walk App Internet/School Drive/Network Computer Speakers iMovie Tutorial iMovie Guided Instruction: Today teacher will go over directions and requirements for the iMovie Planet Tour Presentation. Please review and read as a class. Answer any questions students might have. As a class watch iMovie 11: Importing Photos and Videos to freshen up skills: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9tXMhh8wGo Independent Activity: After going over directions for iMovie Presentations and watching the iMovie tutorial, students will have 15 minutes to finish finding pictures for their presentations. Students should spend the rest of the period importing photos to iMovie and creating their presentations in their groups. It is recommended that students split up the work. For example, one group member can be importing photos to iMovie, another group member is responsible for writing out text (if any) for specific pictures, while the other group member finds music for the presentation.
