FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SENATOR FRANKEN NOWHERE TO BE FOUND ON IMPORTANT ISSUES

Regarding Senator Al Frankens appearance with the Duluth Chamber of Commerce this afternoon, St. Louis County Commissioner and candidate for US Senate Chris Dahlberg released the following statement. Sen. Franken has been on the sideline of nearly every major issue during his tenure in Washington, Dahlberg said. He has been especially absent on the economy while Minnesotans struggle to find work. Hundreds of additional Minnesotans will soon be out of work as an international prosthetics company, which was hit hard by the medical device tax on which Sen. Franken was the deciding vote, moves to Utah. Dahlberg added that Sen. Frankens lack of leadership regarding new mining jobs in northern Minnesota is also glaring. Northern Minnesota was struck especially hard by the economic downturn, having dramatically higher unemployment than the state average. There are great opportunities on the Iron Range with PolyMet and Twin Metals to get Minnesotans back to work, yet the Senator is nowhere to be found on these issues. Minnesotans deserve a Senator who will fight for their ability to succeed and provide for their families. As Sen. Franken addresses business leaders at todays Chamber of Commerce luncheon, will he finally take a stand on the issues, or continue to be vague and pass the blame? ### For more information please contact Chris at (218) 721-2163 or chris@dahlbernow.com.
