Year 3 Topic 1: Meeting people Focused skill(s): Listening and speaking Stage: Production stage Level of proficiency: Intermediate Content standard(s): 1.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to pronounce words and speak confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation. 1.3 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to understand and respond to oral texts in a variety of contexts. Learning standard (s): 1.1.4 Able to talk about a stimulus with guidance. 1.3.1 Able to listen to and demonstrate understanding of oral texts by: (a) asking simple Wh-Questions (b) answering simple Wh-Questions

Objective (s): At the end of the lesson, students will be able to: a) Fill in at least 8 answers in the blank correctly. b) Ask at least 8 Wh- questions based on the information given.

Steps
1. Teacher divides the students into pairs (Student A and B). 2. Student A and B each receives a card from the teacher that consist of incomplete information. 3. Students will use the sample questions provided in the card to communicate with their pairs to get the complete information. 4. After completing the chart, students are asked to discuss with their partner about Which person would they like as a friend? and Why? 5. Teacher selects two pairs to share their opinion in the classroom.
