Aims and Objectives


Aim To be able to analyse the benefits and

pitfalls of groups and teams. To analyse own role using Belbins Teams roles.
Objectives by the end session students will:
To define what is meant by teams and groups To analyse the benefits and risks associated with being in a team To evaluate own role using Belbins team roles

What are groups and teams?


A group is a number of people who interact with each other in some way. They are aware of each other and may have common purpose they may even rely on each other in some way.
A team is a group of people who are working together towards a common objective. They have a definite goal that they can only achieve together.
