Expected Outcome
Students will be motivated to practice due to the interactive nature of the activities, so they will be gaining strength and motor skills quicker in the long run. Since some of these activities can be practiced at home as well as school, it provides the reinforcement necessary to memorize the sight words quicker. Students who struggle with English as a Second Language usually feel uncomfortable. By providing activities for the child in their native language, it will help the teacher first really see what the child knows by taking away the comprehension limitation, and also provide the student with comfortable practice. Students will be able to practice letters in different contexts, which will aide in a better all-around understanding of letters and better letter recognition across the board.
