Mrk Counter GCS: When buying/development shown to customer, and wants any changes, GCS is made (mainly concerned with the fitting). Gold Seal/green seal: shipment sample to confim bulk order. Red Seal: GCS equivilant for primark and pennys etc.

Pattern Making: 1) Initial Block: GGT, CAD according to the spec. Then styling is added such as notch and sew, type of pocket etc 2) Marker: Pattern is printed 3) Goes to cutting 4) Feeding: Basket is loaded with the threads, fabrics, pre-finishing trims. 5) Stitching 6) Quality check before wash 7) Finishing/Final audit

Pattern Making: Manual or System Making (More efficient with min cloth wastage. When properly done, can lower wastage between 7-11% Once pattern is digitized, it is one whole block and needs to be split before it can be worked upon. Block when all pieces are shown individually. Process: Cotton harvested in late spring, planted in autum. Fibers separated from dirt, debris, and seeds. This process is ginning. 2 types of ginning processes: roller gin, saw gin Spinning: Put into carding machine. The assembled into loose strands know as sliver or tow Big rollers with small ones surrounding it. Drawing frame combines 4 slivers into one. Combining sliver produces thick ropes of cotton fiber. Sliver separated into roving.

Problems in garments Twist: from knee to bottom, seam should be in line. But at times due to stretch in joining the front and back piece, twist can appear. Bridge: happens due to mishitting in the yoke.
