To know when to go away and when to come closer is the key to any lasting relati
onship. ~Doménico Cieri Estrada
Healthy Relationships: 4 Tips for Healthy Relationships
1. Exhibit your tenderness and warmth. Researchers tell us that tenderness and w
armth is highly prized by most people in their relationships. Healthy relationsh
ips are emotionally open and the people are willing to show emotional tenderness
and warmth!
2. Being balanced. Realize that no one else can make you happy or fulfill you; o
thers help make our lives more enjoyable and rewarding but they can’t create sat
isfaction or wholeness for us. Only you can create a whole life for yourself; th
erefore try new things such as clubs, volunteering, lectures, and projects. You’
ll have more opportunities to meet people and more to share with your sweetheart
. Healthy relationships are interdependent they aren’t dependent!
3. Healthy Relationships are a process. Sometimes it looks as if everyone else i
s in a happy relationship and that they’re confident and connected. In reality,
most people feel just like you feel, wondering how to fit in and have good relat
ionships. It takes time to meet people, date, create a relationship, and get to
know them…so, make “small talk”…respond to others…smile…keep trying. “IF YOU’RE
SINGLE, DO NOT GIVE UP, THERE ARE MANY WONDERFUL AVAILABLE SINGLES” Healthy rela
tionships can be learned and practiced and keep getting better, it’s a skill! Yo
u are bright and capable; you can learn how to have healthy relationships, start
today!!!
4. Be genuine! It’s much easier and much more fun to be who you are, people are
going to love you or not, don’t you want someone who loves you instead of tying
too pretend. It’s too much work trying too be something or someone else. Sooner
or later, the other one finds out. Healthy relationships are made of real people
, people are not perfect, they have good and not so good parts, healthy relation
ship recognize that you love the whole person, not images!
