Standard of Reasoning Clarity

1 Limited
The meaning is not clear. Terms are not defined or applied consistently. Information presented is incorrect Details are limited are insignificant to the question at issue There is little or nor congruency between premises and conclusions. Evidence does not support conclusions. Does not make sense.

2 Adequate
The meaning is sometimes clear. Some terms are defined and applied consistently Information presented has frequent factual errors Details are basic and sometimes significant to the question at issue There is some congruency between premises and conclusions. Evidence sometimes supports conclusions. Sometimes make sense. Information presented is limited but has some variety. There is a small amount of precise relevant data. Work demonstrates some understanding of factors related to issue. Some of the content is off topic. Information is somewhat coherent. Connections between topics are present, and sometimes build off each other. Information is sometimes biased or one sided but shows the potential for an open mind

3 Proficient
The meaning is mostly clear. Terms are defined and applied generally throughout Information presented is mostly correct Details are varied and generally significant to the question at issue There is general congruency between premises and conclusions. Evidence supports conclusions. Generally makes sense. Information presented comes from a sufficiently varied number of sources The amount of precise relevant data is sufficient. 4 Excellent
The meaning is entirely clear. Information is nearly free of bias, addresses multiple perspectives, and is approached with an open mind.
