LESSON ONE INTRODUCTION Hi everybody, this is Misterduncan in England. How are you today? Are you ok?... I hope so Are you happy?... I hope so. And more importantly learning is a second language. #o, the irst "uestion must be $Why do we need to learn English?%. & course to speak English, nowadays is because the World is becoming smaller. 'hanks to the Internet and our developing global economy more and more people are using English as a common way to communicate with each other. #o now it has become unavoidable that companies and large business Hill need to employ people who can speak more than their own native language that is where English comes in. It is now o icially considered as an international language in each one. & course learning anything is di icult and English is no e(ception. However, there are ways to make the situation easier. I have come up with my own list o general rules or learning English. )o you want to hear them? )o you want to know what they are? &k... *et+s go,. *earning English takes time and patience. It cannot be rushed. 'ry to rela( and take it easy. 'he most important thing you need at the beginning is a good vocabulary. Without words, you have nothing to work with. -ou must #tart with a strong oundation or base and slowly build on it, day by day, -ou must view English as a part o your body. /ust as you World, an arm or a leg. It must become a part o your everyday li e. )aily practice is very important. )o not worry about making mistakes. In act the more mistakes you make the more will learn rom them. 0ust like learning to ride a bike. #ometimes you all o . #o what do you do? -ou get back on and try again. )o not look at English, as /ust another sub/ect. -our attitude to English and the way you view it will decide how well your progress. 0ust as we say in English. $1o pain. 1o gain%. 'he two most important words to remember when learning English are. 2ractice and 3on idence. 2ractice English everyday and be con ident. -ou will ind that the more you use English. the better your English will become and the more con ident you become then the more you will want to use it.
