You are aware that we have been annually conducting Acharya Prashikshan Shibir (APS)at Kanyakumari for all the newly inducted teachers of VKVs. As last year we all were preoccupied with Swami Vivekananda Sardha Shati Samaroh, some of the shibirs including Acharya Prashikshan shibir were not organized. From this year onwards again the APS would be resumed. The purpose of the APS is to acquaint our VKV teachers with Vivekananda Kendras ideals as well as to equip them for their noble profession. Therefore, we have been making it obligatory for all the new VKV teachers to attend it.

The APS is scheduled with the following details:Venue Date of Reporting Date of Departure Camp fee : - Vivekananda Kendra- Kanyakumari : - 5th April 2014 by 5 pm : - 30th April 2014 by 4 pm : - 2000/-

Please circulate the information of this letter among all the participants of your school so that an early preparation can be made. Moreover the participants can book the ticket well in advance.
The following details to be taken care by all teachers participating in the shibir: All teachers have to carry one set of school uniform. Participants have to reach the venue on the given date and time. Participants have to book the to and fro train/air ticket The overall performance would be evaluated in the shibir. The participants are not allowed to go out once the Shibir starts. Hence, all the needed items including ablution articles are to be kept with themselves for the duration of the shibir i.e. 25 days. Learning Kendra Prarthana and its meaning (Refer the book The Goal and the Way (English) or Dhyeya Marg (Hindi), Studying about Rock memorial and biography of Swami Vivekananda, making preparation for the Model class on the teaching Subject etc. are some of the homeworks the participants are expected to do. Saree for sisters and long pant & shirt for the brothers is a must. In, Yogasana and Game sessions the sisters need to wear Churidar Kurta. School Uniform is a must for all the participants, for Inauguration and Valedictory program of the APS. With prayers, regards and best wishes.
