Breast cancer Magills Medical Guide Sixth Edition. Ed. Irons Georges Tracy, 6th ed. 6 Vols. Pasadena. Calif.: Salem Press. 2010. Salem Health Web. 14 Feb. 2014 This article was instructed to not only describe what breast cancer is, but the treatments and therapy for it as well. It includes causes and symptoms also. Breast cancer is a disease that affects the tissue of the breast. It is the most common malignancy in women and approximately 200,000 people are diagnosed each year. There are many ways to treat breast cancer such as lumpectomy, mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation. Salem Press is definitely a reliable source because it told me how many treatments there are, what they are, and what they do to your body. This article was not bias and seemed to be stating facts. It gave me enough information to write my research paper. This source did a great job explaining the treatments for breast cancer and informed me on many other things which I have found to be very helpful. The only bad thing about this article is that it did not tell the effects some treatments have on patients in their personal life, which is part of my purpose. I do recommend this article because it states facts on more than one topic and it is very detailed when giving an explanation.

Breast Cancer Treatment Breast Cancer Health Center. Web MD, 09 May 2012 Web. 21 Feb. 2014 This article was created to inform readers on different types of treatments to cure breast cancer and how to determine which treatment is best for a patient. Breast cancer is a form of cancer that affects the cells in the tissue of the breast. There are different ways to treat this disease including chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery, such as mastectomies and lumpectomies. Although this source had several facts, it gave me little information on what exactly these treatments are and what the effect of each one is. It did not give me enough details to explain the process of these treatments. Compared to the other articles I have used, this was the least helpful.

Despite the fact that this article was not bias, it simply did not supply enough information for me to use in my research. For this project, I need to know not only what treatments are available but the effects they may have and how they improve ones health. Web MD listed different treatments and gave a brief summary of the symptoms in which a certain treatment may have on a patient. I would not recommend this source due to the fact that the amount of information given was not enough.
