Hooker Leo, Off da Hook Designs This scarf was created as further exploration into crochet short rows. The instructions are very basic, providing you with the opportunity to improvise.

MATERIALS
2 Skeins Universal Classic Shades (Neon Lime Surprise) [approximately 394 yards] Hook: US J/10-6.0 mm Tapestry Needle to sew in ends

SPECIAL STITCHES
ScBFL: Single crochet into bar and front loop (Video: http://youtu.be/flx-iSeFtKQ) ScBL: Single crochet in back loop 60 x 6.5 inches (approximate)

FINISHED SIZE INSTRUCTIONS

Chain 25, or multiple of 3 + 1 for a wider scarf. Foundation Row: Sc in the bottom bump of second sc from hook and each bump across (24 sc). Ch 1 and turn. Short Row 1: ScBFL in each stitch across, leaving last 3 sts unworked (21 ScBFL). Ch 1 and turn. Short Row 2: ScBFL back (21 sts.) Repeat rows 2 and 3 (7 more times) until you have worked all sts across. You should now have steps across the width of your scarf. Sealing Short Rows: ScBL across in all sts. (24 scBL). Ch 1 and turn. You should have a triangle now. Repeat Short Row instructions to desired length and finish with one final row of ScBFL.
