How To Pray For The Lost And Backslidden

One element of revival is the turning of the lost and backslidden to Christ for salvation and renewal. This is only one element of revival but it is the ultimate outcome of true revival.

Pray for receptive Hearts (Luke 8:5, 12) Pray for their spiritual Eyes to be opened (2 Cor. 4:3-4) and their ears to hear (Matt. 13:15) Pray for Gods Attitude toward sin (John 16:8) Pray for the person to be Released to believe (2 Cor. 10:3-4, 2 Tim. 2:25-26)

Pray for a Transforming life (Rom. 12:1-2)

Luke 8:5 (NKJV) 5 A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it. Luke 8:12 (NKJV) 12 Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4 (NKJV) 3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

Matthew 13:15 (NKJV) 15 For the hearts of this people

have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.

John 16:8 (NKJV) 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

2 Corinthians 10:3-4 (NKJV) 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,

2 Timothy 2:25-26 (NKJV) 25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, 26 and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.

Romans 12:1-2 (NKJV) 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Revive Us Again We praise Thee, O God! For the Son of Thy love, For Jesus who died, And is now gone above. Hallelujah! Thine the glory, Hallelujah! Amen. Hallelujah! Thine the glory, Revive us again.

All glory and praise To the Lamb that was slain, Who hath borne all our sins, And hath cleansed every stain. Hallelujah! Thine the glory, Hallelujah! Amen. Hallelujah! Thine the glory, Revive us again.

Revive us again; Fill each heart with Thy love; May each soul be rekindled With fire from above, Hallelujah! Thine the glory, Hallelujah! Amen. Hallelujah! Thine the glory, Revive us again.
Revive us again.
