ABSTRACT Nutrients are basic resources for the growth and productivity of trees. Application of organic manures and inorganic fertilizers helps for growth and productivity of trees. A field trial was conducted to investigate the effect of integrated nutrient management on early establishment of Casuarina equisetifolia plantation in Sharawati watershed area of Uttar Kannada district during 20 !20 2.

"he plantation of one year old Casuarina equisetifolia was selected and e#periment was planned with split plot design. "he organic manure were imposed as a main plot treatments viz., $io fertilizer culture %&A'().* +g,ha-. /arm yard manure 0 * tonnes,ha. &ermicompost 0 2.* tonnes,ha and 1ontrol. Application of inorganic fertilizers viz.. 002 *02 00 N. 324*. K24 in +g,ha. *02 )*2 *0 N. 324*. K24 in +g,ha. 2002 002 200 N. 324*. K24 in Kg,ha and 1ontrol as a subplot treatments. "he plant growth parameters viz., 3lant height. 1ollar diameter. 1rown diameter and Number of branches were recorded at every three month interval. "he results indicated that plant height. collar diameter. crown diameter and number of branches were recorded significantly higher in vermicompost 0 2.* tonnes,ha along with 2002 002 200 N. 324*. K24 from 5 'A" to 2 'A" as compared to other treatments. "he treatment vermicompost 0 2.* tonnes,ha along with 2002 002 200 N. 324*. K24 were recorded significantly higher nutrient content in different tree parts viz.
