How do you write a typical lesson plan?


-I look at the standards for my district and I look at the formal and informal assessments of the students

What types of materials do you need available when you plan lessons?
-my computer, curriculum guides, my student data, calendar

In what ways do you plan to accommodate individual differences in the classroom?


-workshop that is differentiated as well as modified assignments, projects, and goals Instructional Questions:

What are some of your instructional challenges as a teacher?


-time for planning, behavior, wide range of students

What do you consider essential characteristics for successful teaching?


-flexibility, spontaneity, patience, perseverance

How often do your students receive social studies/science instruction?


-every day

Are you satisfied with the amount of time that you currently allot for social
studies/science instruction? Explain. -I wish there was more, but theres not enough time with the material we have to cover. I try to tie it into writing and reading as much as I can Classroom Management Questions:

What motivation tactics do you use to ensure a desire to learn?


-making it fun, connecting it to their lives, kid friendly instruction. Your enthusiasm makes them enthusiastic

Tell me about the pacing of lessons and interaction in the classroom- use of time- and

other aspects of timewait time, and time using teacher talk and student talk. What works well with your students? -3-4 minutes is all their brain can handle, turn and talk, very interactive, up and moving in a 15 minute lesson, workshops so they are very engaged, I know that more motion the less behavior problems and more theyre learning.
