Installing EMONA TutorTIMS Network edition instructions

(A) Installing the TutorTIMS files: The TT-Advsetup.exe file must be installed on every PC on the network which may be used to run the TutorTIMS software. There is no limit to the number of machines you can install the software on. Any PC which wishes to run TutorTIMS MUST have a recent JAVA Runtime engine installed on that PC. A copy is included for your convenience on this CD in the java_runtime directory. Most recent versions can be downloaded from
www.java.com

This TTsetup.exe file will unpack and install into selected directories the .jar file which is the TutorTIMS simulation engine, as well as support files and readymade experiments for use with TutorTIMS. These support files are accessible from the manuals switch within the TutorTIMS software . This installation process is the complete installation for TutorTIMS.

Installing the licensing key software manually: The software HASPUserSetup.exe and lmsetup.exe are run by the installer program mentioned in Section (A) above. The licensing key supplied MUST be inserted into anyone of the machines on the network which has TutorTIMS installed on it AND which has been selected to be the License Manager. With this key inserted, up to the licensed number of users are able to use TutorTIMS across this network.

TutorTIMS Network edition not for Terminal Services: Please note that TutorTIMS runs independently on each machine licensed on the network. You must not install it on a network server and attempt to run TutorTIMS under a Terminal Services arrangement. Each session of TutorTIMS requires a large amount of computing capacity, and has operating modes which use all available capacity of the CPU.
