Scheduling Time To ensure that everyones time is respected; appointments will promptly begin and end at their pre-scheduled times. No adjustment to fees shall be made for time lost because of late arrival by the student or by early termination of session by the student. (e.g. If you are 10 minutes late, we will be unable to extend your appointment.) Deposit and Cancellation Notice There will be a deposit due for each student that has regular pre-scheduled appointments. The deposit is due at the start of the first appointment and amounts to one tutoring session. Any student that cancels his or her appointment with less than a 24-hour notice will lose the deposit and must provide another deposit prior to the next appointment. If unused, the deposit may be returned when the tutors services are no longer required. If the deposit is not picked up within 60 days of the last session, the student will forfeit the deposit. Cancelation by the Tutor The tutor may cancel lessons by giving 24 hours prior notice to the student, in which case no fees shall be incurred. If a conflict arises in my schedule that does not allow for the 24 hour notice, I will make every attempt to reschedule the students appointment. If we are unable to reschedule the appointment, you will be credited $10 for the inconvenience and you will not be charged for the missed session. Fees Payment is due prior to the start of each session. Prices quoted are based on cash payment; if a credit card is used, a 2.75% convenience fee will be added to cover processing costs. No further fees shall be charged for traveling or preparation time of the tutor. Referrals Any student who refers another student will receive a $10 credit to his or her account once the referred student has attended a tutoring session. Notes when referring: Be aware that pricing may vary from student to student depending on multiple factors.

Obligation of the Tutor The tutor structures session to optimize time to benefit the student. With exception of the students parents or guardians, the tutor shall keep confidential the students information. The tutor shall contact other parties involved in the education of the student only if given verbal permission by the student (or students guardian) to do so. The tutor shall at no time be required or obligated to execute homework or assignments on behalf of the student.

Obligation of the Student/Guardian The student/guardian shall assist the tutor in identifying problem areas in which the student needs specific tutoring. The student will be prepared for each tutoring session and have all materials ready, to include any home-based assignments, at the beginning of each session. The student agrees to return any materials, such as take home books, in a timely fashion and in good condition.

No Warranties While the tutor is confident in her/his skills and teaching ability, the tutor makes no promises or warranties with regard to a students performance or progress as a result of any tutoring provided. Termination Either party may terminate this tutoring contract at any time by giving the other party seven days prior notice. RELAXATION OF TERMS No relaxation, indulgence, waiver or release by any party of any of the rights in terms of this agreement on one occasion shall prevent the subsequent enforcement of such rights and shall not be deemed to be a waiver of any subsequent breach of any of the terms.

WHOLE AGREEMENT This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties with regard to the subject matter thereof and the parties waive the right to rely on any alleged expressed or implied provision not contained herein. Any alteration to this agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties. It is expressly understood that the student retains the services of the tutor as an independent contractor and not as an employee.
