Yee 1 David Yee Ms. Gardner Honors English 10 Period 0 21 October 2013 Revolutionary Revelations Human nature.

It cannot be tamed, oppressed, beaten, or beset. Any being that tries to contain our nature will be sorely disappointed and awestruck by the force behind it. The very nature of us, comrades, can be the only thing to rule us. Nothing more. Nothing less.

For many years, I have seen comrades like you struggle on the streets while the Tsar Nicholas sat in his fortress, stuffing his face while you have been starving in your homes. I have seen your very friends ordered to be executed by the Tsar on that one bloody Sunday, and I have seen the anger flare in your eye as I still see today. But now, the Tsar has been toppled and the time is ripe to take back what is rightfully ours, what we rightfully deserve, taken from those vile Capitalistsour land, our food, our rule.

Together, comrades, we have overcome the unjust rule of the Tsar. Now, we will form a union of that the world has never seen before. Now, we will take back what is rightfully ours, what I, your beloved Lenin, have repeated over and over againpeace, land, and bread.

The path towards justice, though, has not been an easy one. For many years our members of the Bolsheviks have been persecutedhunted down, imprisoned, and exiled. I myself

Yee 2 have been exiled for 17 years in the tundra of Switzerland. However, those hardships have only strengthened us, comrades. They taught us valuable ideas, the foundation of the Bolshevik thinking.

Our comrades must be pure and purged, true to the cause of what we do. All those of impure-heart that dare try to infiltrate our ranks, bewarethe hammer and sickle will beat back those that dare betray us. All power must be given to the Soviets.

Our comrades must no longer fight in this costly war. The war has nothing to do with usit is merely a war between capitalist powers, a product of imperial rivalries. Peace must be made to the army.

Our comrades will not be limited to those that toil in the factories. Strength in numbers, and the numbers of the oppressed are great. Come, those that are forced to work in the farms, struggling to salvage enough food for the night. Come, those that are forced to sit on the side while the bourgeoisie devour the land with their greedy hands. Come, those that work to the bone in the factories while the bourgeoisie once again reap the rewards. Land must be given to the peasants, to the working class, to us.

Now, the government is weaker than ever. Still, Kerensky, your tyrannical ruler, refuses to pull out of this costly war, this civil war between capitalist powers. How many lives must be lost, how many soldiers sent to the Eastern Front, how many families torn apart, until he realizes the fruitlessness of this situation? However, I am a man of the people. I

Yee 3 understand you, comrades. I understand that you would like to have a say, yet the bourgeoisie stops you from doing so. This capitalist thinking is only oppressivewe can have nothing to do with it if we are to succeed. We must think as Karl Marx did. We must institute the ideas of the Communist Manifesto if we are to prosper. Only then can we have true justice, and thus peace.

Comrades, others may think against these ideas, but to those we welcome into our ranksif they are willing to change, let them change. Let them cast aside the shackles of Capitalism and join hands with us as brothers in a new land of communism and camaraderie. Divided, we cannot institute these ideas against Kerensky as we did to the Tsar. Only together will we able to overthrow the government and start anew in a fresh land as brothersequalscomrades.

The government cannot make you: you must make the government.

Together, comrades, we will start the new Russia, the new Union. Together, comrades, we will stop the war and bring peace to the army. Together, comrades, we will rule ourselves and be the masters of our own homes.

This much, I swear.

Yee 4 This is from the point of view of the revolutionary thinker Vladimir Ilich Ulyanov, or Lenin. Ms. Gardner said that this was an okay idea to do.
