ICT Integration Project: Statement of Understanding While the ICT integration project is intended to be completed as a group, I will be working

alone for this project. As a result the usual concerns regarding working as a team towards a common goal, and ensuring an equitable division of the workload are not relevant to me. All other requirement of this project will apply to me, as they would to any other group in this class. This project is divided into three stages, Planning, Prototyping, and Publishing. In the Planning Stage I will be required to produce, a Forward Planning Document (FPD), or 4 complete lesson plans, for a sequence of 4 lessons in my chosen subject. These lessons are required to incorporate at least three forms of ICT other than the Internet and the Digital Whiteboard. As a result my FPD must be accompanied by a statement which clearly sets out the ICT resources that I will be using, why I have chosen these resources and how they are being integrated into my lessons as learning tools rather than simply teaching tools. I must also produce; A project plan which sets out when what actions I will undertake during this project, and the time frame for taking these actions, a mind map, clearly indicating what I intent to do in my lessons and how each step links to the Australian curriculum, and a statement indicating how your project is underpinned by established learning theory. In the Prototyping Stage I must prepare and conduct a 30 minute lesson, taken from the four lesson FPD which I produced during the Planning state. The Goal of this stage is to design an age appropriate activity with sound leaning and which models good practice in the effective integration of ICT. I am also required to produce a brief lesson outline, prior to conducting my lesson. I will do this in the form of a full lesson plan using the University of Notre Dame Lesson Plan template. In the Publishing Stage I will be required to publish a major teaching and learning resource in my chosen subject. These resources should be enquiry oriented and/ or problem solving based. Like the FPD in the Planning stage, this resource must consist of a sequence of 4 lessons with clearly articulated learning outcomes. These lessons must incorporate a minimum of three ICT resources other than the internet and Digital whiteboard and these ICT resources should be used as learning tools rather than teaching tools.
