Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity, November 2010-Present -Have been an active member as well as serving on the Executive Board

from September 2012 until December 2013. +Position on the Executive Board was titled Sergeant-at-Arms. Duties of the position consisted of risk management, Ritual, and running the Judiciary Board. Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society, November 2013-Present -An English Honorary Society which grants membership based on academic achievement at the university level. Crossroads Middle School Volunteer Teacher, January-April 2013 -Volunteered every Tuesday and Thursday morning in Mrs. Kathy Vogels class room for several class periods. -Worked with groups of students working on in-class assignments in an effort to help further their learning. -Worked with individual students who had low reading comprehension levels, and I read with them to develop better reading techniques and expand their vocabulary. -Assisted the teacher with creating classroom activities for students, planning, and other classroom related activities. Mental Health Awareness Week, October 2012 -Tabled in the Kirkhof building of Grand Valleys campus to raise awareness for mental disabilities and diseases including depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. -Helped set up for a speaker who came to discuss depression. Region 3 Transitions Program, March 2012 -Spent time with local students suffering from mental and physical disabilities. Red Cross, 2010-2012 -Assisted by performing various jobs to help blood drives run more smoothly. Some of these jobs included checking in donors and sitting with donors after they donated to make sure they dont pass out. -Tabled in the Kirkhof building of Grand Valleys campus to raise interest in blood drives, raise awareness about disaster relief programs, and to have people sign holiday cards for troops overseas during the winter holidays. Operation Good Cheer, 2009 -Loaded holiday gifts onto airplanes that were flown to places with large populations of children of low socioeconomic standing who would otherwise not have received holiday gifts. Volunteer Assistant Hockey Coach, Ages 10-12, 2008-2009 -Volunteered to coach a local hockey team because the head coach was a busy parent who didnt have much experience with hockey. -Worked with kids, individually and as a group, to develop basic skating and puck-handling skills, learn the rules of the game and the benefits of teamwork, and begin to practice slightly more advanced hockey skills.

Walled Lake Community Football Camp, Summers only, 2007-2009 -Taught local youth many of the basic rules of football as well as working on skills necessary to play football. -Discussed what made each position different, worked on developing position specific skills with older players preparing for middle school sports, and worked to inspire a teamwork based approach to playing football.
