The role played by micro, small and medium enterprises is significant
in over all growth of the economy The enterprises acts as a nursery for the
development of entrepreneurial talent and has been contributing significantly
to the !tate as well as district"s gross domestic products, besides, meeting the

The prospective plan for the development of industrial activity for

t'e potential for industrial and econo&ic develop&ent of Malur Taluk.
Malur Taluk is endo7ed 7it' 'orticulture, a+riculture, floriculture,
&ineral, livestock, and sericulture resources. Ho7ever, t'e potential
resources availa$le in t'e Taluk 'ave not $een 'arnessed effectivel(.
T'e taluk 'as t'e potential to launc' floriculture, 'orticulture, &odern
dair( pro9ects, +ranite cuttin+ and polis'in+, stone crus'in+, auto&o$ile
co&ponents, poultr( and cattle feed, 7'ic' 'ave tre&endous scope in t'e
taluk.
T'e inadeBuate infrastructure features, lack of entrepreneurs'ip a&on+
t'e people of t'e Taluk, inadeBuate support fro& $anks, financial
institutions is t'e &ain causes for industrial develop&ent of t'e Taluk.
T'ou+' t'ere are clear cut +uidelines fro& $rass of Pu$lic Sector 8anks
and t'ere are also clear cut instructions fro& !eserve 8ank of India,
8ranc' Mana+ers are reluctant to sanction t'e 3oan. T'e 8anks are not
co&in+ for7ard to sanction loan to s&all, &ediu& and &icro
entrepreneurs.

a+riculture sector are t'e causes for slo7 pace of industriali5ation, 7'ic'
is neit'er 7ell diverse nor dispersed in various places over t'e (ears.
;ntrepreneurial co&petence and personalit( are t'e ke( factors t'at are
necessar( to succeed in entrepreneurial ventures. =eepin+ in vie7 t'e
c'allen+in+ entrepreneurial opportunities at present and future, it is of
para&ount i&portance to pro&ote &ana+e&ent skills of t'e $uddin+
entrepreneurs to succeed in t'eir endeavour.

taluk in order to trickle do7n t'e fruits of t'e industrial +ro7t'.

sc'e&e 7ill 'ave to $e introduced and also credit +uarantee trust fund
sc'e&e 7ill 'ave to $e accepted and i&ple&ented $( all t'e 8anks in t'e
Taluk.
4lo7 of :orkin+ 1apital to Industries is not satisfactor(. Micro and
S&all Scale Industries need to $e provided 7it' 'urdle free and adeBuate
7orkin+ capital assistance fro& 8anks and 4inancial Institutions.
Present procedure of 7orkin+ capital sanctioned $( 8anks is $ased on
t'e past perfor&ance of t'e units and also dependin+ upon t'e collateral
securit( availa$le. 4inancial Institutions and 8anks &a( co&e out 7it'
li$erali5ed 7orkin+ capital sanction sc'e&e at least for t'e 8ack7ard
Taluk like Malur.
It is in practice t'at 8;S1?M aut'orities is collectin+ Mini&u& de&and
c'ar+es fro& all cate+or( of Industries. 8ut in case of 4ood Processin+
Industries and 4ruit processin+ Industries are reBuired to pa( &ini&u&
c'ar+es even durin+ off season. T'erefore t'e 8;S1?M aut'orities &a(
please collect t'e po7er consu&ption c'ar+es $ased on t'e actual
consu&ption.
Since t'ere are fe7 Mediu& or 3ar+e Scale Industries in Malur Taluk,
t'e State > 2istrict 3evel Sin+le :indo7 A+enc( > Hi+' Po7er
1o&&ittee &a( &otivate t'e industrialists to set up industries in t'e
