Storyboard Template Think of the storyboard as a comic strip.

Each block has a picture with an action and a line of two of dialog. You can draw pictures, type or handwrite a description of the action in the blocks below. For each action, write a script or summarize the action for your characters. If you need more storyboard pages, make copies and include them with your entry. Don t forget to write your name at the top of each page.

How To Complete Your Storyboard

!lmost e"ery T# commercial you ha"e e"er seen began as a storyboard. The storyboard is a sheet of paper that breaks down the elements of a "ideo production into what you see and what you hear. Your storyboard for this contest is di"ided into eight frames. $ithin each frame is a bo% shaped like a T# screen with some lines below it. &sing pictures or words, you will use the T# shaped bo% to describe what one sees in your commercial. Then you will type or write in what words or sound effects are heard in the lines below that bo%. This is the !udio. It can be the spoken words of people on camera, the words of an announcer who is not on camera, or words that appear on the screen. 'ometimes it s a combination of all three. It really depends on your idea. In the ad"ertising industry this is called the (copy.) !s what you show on screen changes, add a simple drawing or type out or handwrite a description in the ne%t bo% with the audio below. *emember though, you only ha"e +,-seconds to get e"erything done.
