OBJECTIVES OF TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER

The objectives of the survey was to study the condition of the people living in the village. The survey was carried out to device proper methods of extension keeping in mind the socio-economic condition of the people. It was necessary to find out what technology is already in use and what are the needs and problems of people for further extension programs.

Things studied under this survey: Economic condition. Health related awareness. Access to Government institutions. Mode of income. Use of technology. Education.

From the survey we observed that:

On basis of occupation, the population can be differentiated as:

1. Farmers.

2. Daily Wage Workers.

The lifestyle of both these is quite different. There is difference in the level of technology used. Most of the farmers have water bodies in households, mostly wells.

On health related issues, the general awareness is good. All have taken care of pulse polio vaccination of their wards.

On education matters, situation is pretty good. Though many of the adults are illiterate, especially daily wage earners, they are sending their wards to schools for education.

On animal life, some farmers have cows and goats but they dont use the milk from animals for commercial purposes. Its mainly used in households.

 On water bodies, almost all farmers have wells at their households. There is a tube well for public use, on which many depend for water. Technologies like TV, radio etc have reached the village. But very few people actually own them. This is mainly because of economic conditions. Electricity supply is also to a few houses, again depending on economic condition.

This study is based on survey conducted on the below listed households of Kashijodha village: Following families were visited for survey:
