RULES FOR CHESS 1.

IF ANY PLAYER IS NOT PRESENT AT THE TIME OF THE GAME THEN A WALK OVER WILL BE GIVEN. 2. WHITE WILL START THE GAME. 3. EACH PAWN CAN MOVE MAX. OF TWO STEPS AT A TIME FOR THE FIRST TIME. AFTER THAT IT WILL MOVE 1 STEP THROUGHOUT THE GAME IN STRAIGHT DIRECTION. 4. PAWN WILL KILL DIAGONALLY (ONE STEP, FORWARD) 5. IF PAWN REACHES THE OPPOSITE END, IT CAN TRANSFORM ITSELF TO ANY OTHER DEAD OR ALIVE PIECE. 6. ROOKS (ELEPHANT) WILL MOVE AS MANY STEPS AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT JUMPING IN STRAIGHT LINE (FORWARD) HORIZONTALLY AND VERTICALLY. IT CANNOT MOVE TRANSVERSLY. 7. CASTLING CANNOT BE DONE DURING CHECK, CASTLING CAN BE DONE TILL THE KING HASNT MOVED. RULE OF CASTLE: SHORT CASTLE: KING- 2 STEPS/ ROOK- 2 STEPS LONG CASTLE: KING- 2 STEPS/ ROOK- 3 STEPS 8. KNIGHT (HORSE) MOVES 2 STEPS IN L-FORM IN ANY DIRECTION. 9. BISHOP (CAMEL) MOVES ON ONE COLOUR DIAGONALLY (ANY DIAGONAL) BACK AND FORTH. 10. QUEEN CAN MOVE n NUMBER OF STEPS IN ANY DIRECTION (HORIZONTALLY). 11. KING CAN MOVE 1 STEP IN ANY DIRECTION. IT CAN MOVE 2 STEPS ONLY AT THE TIME OF CASTLING. 12. NO ONE CAN JUMP EXCEPT THE KNIGHT. 13. TOUCH AND MOVE IS APPLICABLE. 14. YOU CAN MOVE SAME STEP CONSECUTIVELY ONLY 3 TIMES. IF U EXCEED THE LIMIT THEN ITS A DRAW AND POINTS WILL BE CALCULATED. 15. 1 MIN IS GIVEN PER MOVE. IF A PLAYER EXCEEDS THE 1 MIN MARK THEN HE COMMITS THE FIRST FOUL. IF HE AGAIN CROSSES THE 30 SEC. MARK, HE COMMITS THE SECOND FOUL. IF HE AGAIN CROSSES THE 30 SEC. MARK, HE COMMITS THE 3RD AND FINAL FOUL. AFTER THAT GAME IS OVER. 16. POINTS ARE AS FOLLOWS: PAWN: 2 POINT ROOKS: 5 POINTS KNIGHT: 3 POINTS BISHOP: 3.5 POINTS QUEEN: 9 POINTS KING: 1 POINTS 17. IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO MOVE A PIECE BUT ADJUST ITS POSITON, TELL ADJUST LOUDLY AND THEN TOUCH THE PIECE. 18. IF YOUR PAWN IS ON THE FIFTH RANK WITH RESPECT TO YOU AND IF YOUR OPPONENT MOVES HIS PAWN TWO SQUARES AT A TIME IN THE TWO ADJACENT SQUARES, YOU CAN DAIGONALLY TAKE AWAY THAT PAWN. 19. IN CASE OF A STALEMATE, IT IS A DRAW.
