WHAT IS WORK-LIFE BALANCE?

The Department of Business Enterprise & Regulatory Reform (BERR) state that Work-life balance is about individuals balancing their daily (un)paid work commitments with their personal life responsibilities and non-work activities.

1. PRIORITISATION

1.1 Set your priorities

If you could only focus on one thing in your life, what would it be?
1.2 Learn how to say no Dont accept to every request that comes your way.

2. TIME MANAGEMENT
2.1 Track your time

How much time do you spend doing things that don't matter to you?
2.2 Concentrate on one thing at a time It's not possible to focus on two things at the same time.

3. EVALUATION

3.1 Find a mentor


Ask him or her to give you advice on career development, setting priorities, time management. 3.2 Evaluate your work life balance on a regular basis Set aside some time once every other month or so to reflect on your current balance
