He was born 1882 and died in 1958 may 14 October sir Douglas Mawson went to a school in Sydney and then went to Adelaide University.

HIS EARLY LIFE

He went to Sydney so he could go to school after he had school he went to university in Adelaide He had two sister and he had one brother.

HIS JOB WAS

Sir Douglas Mawson did his job so he could experience there and be the first person to go there his job was to go to Antarctica.

On the way to Antarctica one of the people died his name was XAVIER METZ, He died by falling down a ice crack in the grownd.

If Mawson didn't go to Antarctica no one would no it was there. So that is why he went there.
