Implementation Plan and Timeline Clinical Practices (Winter 2014)

Week January 5, 2014 Competencies Plan Discuss and approve all competencies with host administrator Get approval from school administration to develop a partnership with Bridge Academy. Set a dates and time for job shadowing within the same school Set dates for evaluations with the Administrator Establish a specific time frame for staff meetings (Grade Level and Data Teams) Begin planning out the details with Bridge Academys Administrators and cooperating teachers Begin Journaling for journaling for the partnership of Bridge Academy Establish dates and times with voluntary teachers for walk through and pre- and post-evaluations Discuss a plan with the Data Coach and decide which standardized material will be presented, to whom and on what date. Begin documenting and journaling for accountability within teaching and learning Begin job shadowing with my administrator (Latricia BrownCoates) Ongoing documentation and portfolio Prepare appropriate technology in the classroom to communicate with the partnering classroom (Bridge Academy) Purchase envelopes and stamps and set up a mailing system for communication between students. Notes Ms. Brown-Coates and I sat down to discuss the competencies.

Monday I made a call to Stanley Wheeler of Bridge Academy to discuss the idea of interviewing him and other teachers regarding problems of diversity in their school. I also decided to extend this competency and set up a Pen Pal system between students from diverse backgrounds. I will contact Mr. Wheeler to discuss a one on one meeting in regards of proper etiquette before he introduces me to staff.

This week, I had several brief meetings with Glenita RubinShelton in regards of the data from our Global Scholars Assessment. We will get together and discuss the presentation time and place in the near future. Up until now, I have held one team meeting (January 10) Two problem -solution meetings (January 10 and 27).

Competency 10: majority of the staff is frustrated with the call in procedures for school cancelations. With the support of my administrator, I conducted a meeting to elaborate on the proper procedures to school cancellations.

Prepare a newsletter to make parents aware of their children communication with the partnering school (Bridge Academy) Prepare Agendas for the first K-3 Grade Level and Data Team Meetings Ability to assist with staff needs, problems, and frustrations Continue working on the appropriate technology and resources to communicate with the partnering school (Bridge Academy) Perform a pre-evaluation/observation and interview with volunteer teacher Continue documentation for portfolio

Phone conference for an hour with Stan Wheeler (Bridge Academy). We discussed the proper etiquette in the presence of the diverse cultures, Bangladesh, Chaldean, and Pakistani.

Some parents are sensitive and traditional to different societies and cultures. Ex. (T.V. Radio, Pictures) I will be visiting Bridge Academy either on these days in February 13th, 14th, or 19th and 20th. Ideas Pen Pal template and questions.
