Matt 5:13-16. America becomes the centre of

Christian work through the 19th 20th centuries. 1835 Lyman Beecher A Plea for The West. 1792-1821 nine new states added to the Union. Violence was a way of life, but preaching changed things. Temperance Movements, Slavery abolition, Tent Meetings, Prayer benches, Charles Finney, Billy Sunday, D L Moody, Bible College Movement. Cults also flourish as the counter-punch to biblical evangelism.
