Benefits of Collaborative Effort 1

Introduction: This document describes how the collaborative effort between Veterans
Housing & Employment Assistance and a partnership of other nine nonprofit organizations can benefit All of our organizations. This collaborative effort will provide great opportunities for expansion and the option to produce a bigger impact for all parties.

Vision: A Nonprofits Genesis First and foremost we must understand most of

nonprofit corporations arise from the vision of their founders. In order to change our world, specifically what is challenged in our society, we need a vision and plan to bring those dreams into a reality that will create real opportunities for change. Such opportunities for change can be furthered if the corporation works in furtherance of its purposes, but many times change can be hindered by real life possibilities. Commonly, the workers are few and potential limited, hence fewer the workers, smaller the results that can be obtained. In real life, nonprofit corporations have a restricted impact on society the way they want to when their board is inadequate or have a small group of people committed to the corporations mission. Successful examples have shown, a nonprofits lifespan is determined by its volunteer recruitment. When it comes to a nonprofit growing as an organization and remaining stable, its not how much money they raise, its the talented volunteers that they recruit. In real life, change that lasts in a community is effected by nonprofits that are organizationally strong and have a committed board of directors and a loyal, dedicated group of volunteers. When nonprofits with these characteristics work, they become lifechangers, transforming vision into reality. All of our organizations will be able to realize its vision by means of the collaborative effort between Veterans Housing & Employment Assistance and a partnership with nine other nonprofit organizations.

Goals: A Nonprofits Heartbeat:

Anybody can have goals. Be it an individual or a corporation, goals guide individuals or corporations with work and life. A nonprofits goals can be achieved correctly or completely when the corporation has a clear focus on its objectives. Goals lack hands and feet. The corporation has hands and feet in its board and volunteers. The more persons that pursue the corporations goals, the faster and better their attainment will be. All of our organizations will be able to achieve its goals in the aforementioned manner if it becomes a part of this collaborative effort. Its goals will be added to those of the organizations in partnership. These goals can be achieved faster and better as part of a partnership with these other nonprofits. They are clearer and easier to achieve when more experienced persons assist to attain them. A partnership will help to improve the ways in which all of the corporations goals are brought into fruition.

Benefits of Collaborative Effort 2

Effort: A Nonprofits Will Effort is the amount of energy spent for a specified
purpose; nevertheless, effort may not always lead to success or achievement. Effort must be directed, and well directed effort can have consequences. Effort is like math, poor directed effort can divide and subtract and well directed effort can add and multiply. Effort is maximized when people join a cause and money is brought into the corporation to develop the purpose. When nonprofits have more people in their board greater intelligence can be reached, and better ideas improve our world. When nonprofits have more volunteers in their organization the purposes are carried out in a faster way. When nonprofits have more partners their mission is revived and expanded, making it easier to produce improved results. Many times, we believe our effort will be more than enough, thinking of ourselves as superheroes than mere normal human beings. All of our organizations cant take for granted the power of unity, and specially, unity in purpose. History teaches us that it was the armies of world powers, armies composed by hundreds or even thousands of people, were the ones responsible for conquering vast lands. Never an army of one has been or will be able to conquer. This is the essence of this partnership is the ability and opportunity to fulfill bigger goals by doing more than it ever imagined, through influencing more people.

Collaboration: A Nonprofits Strength Collaboration implies association,

participation, partnership, teamwork, alliance, joint effort. The ineffective nonprofit is the lone ranger nonprofit, but the effective nonprofit creates alliances and develops partnerships. Collaboration impulses growth and enhances the corporations work. Teamwork gives a boost to a nonprofits efforts so results can come swiftly and easily. For All of our organizations to be a part of this partnership, this collaborative effort with Veterans Housing & Employment Assistance and nine other nonprofit organizations is the opportunity of a lifetime. It would prove advantageous because an alliance such as this, with the participation of more experienced nonprofits, will only elevate All of our organizations trust among its peers and related circles. It will increase its social stock, which is to say the view or opinion that others have of it as a major player will be as a real viable nonprofit. The associated strength between all of the participants will be shown in the bigger possibilities of the coalition for obtaining grants and financial participations from other entities. Two are better than one and iron sharpens iron are two phrases that clearly exemplify the heart of this alliance. The chance for it to reach a wider target group and improve the target groups lives in more ways than it had originally planned by adding economic and housing purposes will be one of its results.

Benefits of Collaborative Effort 3

Multiplication: A Nonprofits Objective Multiplication provokes an increase

in number, quantity, or degree. A nonprofits goals and outcome can be multiplied. Teamwork multiplies work and its results. Its not the same to have a couple of people on the board and a few volunteers than having a bigger, more complete board of directors, and having more than enough volunteers. This sort of multiplication is the best thing a nonprofit can have and society can expect from its nonprofits. Just as a nonprofits business will be multiplied by the increase of purposes and programs, the execution of such programs and their results will be multiplied by means of more committed board members and volunteers. It will prove to be the standard win/win situation.

Benefits: A Nonprofits Cause A nonprofits mission and vision are the soul of
its work, of its being and of its existence. A nonprofit that wants to cause change effectively, needs to adjust, so one of the best ways for any corporation to change is to adopt improvements. Change for nonprofits can either dull them or better them; this is why a combination of vision, effort, collaboration, teamwork, multiplication and goals is always needed. When a nonprofit improves, it grows, it advances and it becomes very creative. Its dreams, goals and objectives become real. All of our organizations can do one of two things: 1. Keep its current path and hope for the best, or 2. Adopt improvements for its growth; advance its purpose, effect change to a larger target group thus multiplying its influence and collaboration. All of our organizations can benefit immensely from the collaboration and teamwork that Veterans Housing & Employment Assistance, NFP and other nonprofit corporations offer. If All of our organizations accepts to team with Veterans Housing & Employment Assistance, NFP and other nonprofit corporations it will be able to benefit more people than it originally planned. The benefits are twofold. On one end, the corporation would be multiplying its exempt purposes, it would be adding more members to its board of directors, and it would also be executing more specific programs, as well as improving administratively and financially. On the other end, such changes would allow it to change its address, obtain better collaboration for the entire corporations business, which would allow it to serve and impact more people who would be affected by more problems, which would all be taken care of by these new programs.

Impact: A Nonprofits Obligation Impact is the name of the game, its not a
nonprofits goal or objective, impact is a consequence of a nonprofits work. Impact is important; its relevance is defined by the influence of the corporation in society, among its target group and its peers. This coalition offers the chance to impact a broader social spectrum, the chance to benefit more people with more specific programs and projects. The time to do it isnow.
