The AOE Grind Guide 1~50 in 20 hours

Introduction:
Well well finally we have a guide for DC, many people was asking about AoE grinding spots, and many others already know the spots but dont spread it, this is v1.0, because ill be updating the guide. Ive made a run to VR with a friend and my experiences are in this v1.0, we grind as duo all the time, we were a Heavy Armor 1HS Templar(Tanky DPS aka Warrior) and a DStaff Sorc Light Armor(DPS). We found the max exp/hour as 550k, also i have a very important tip that ill explain in the first part of this guide. As in the title, weve made it in 20 hours of gameplay. You can play each day 2 hours, following this guide youll hit VR in 12 days, got it? Also maras partners.

1The right way to grind

1.1 Solo/Duo Method:
Lets begin, first of all group xp is not good. When you duo or solo mobs you get the 100% of experience of it. Ok, 3 people can kill faster but when you get enough damage to burst 30 mobs and dont die 3 people are just to nerf XP. Try to do the build to grind with a partner or solo, its the same ammount of experience and you two togheter will have a great power to kite and kill mobs. Just for information on duo in the Coldharbour zombies we were able to get the peak of xp/h that was 550k ALONE, without any of those 12+ ppl group grinding totally wrong there. If you dont trust it or if you feel that you can make more exp in a large group, go and test it. My main tip of this guide is this, grind solo, or duo. NEVER at group.

1.2 - Understanding the experience gain

This is not hard to figure out. Ill be clean and simple. When you kill a monster you have one ammount of experience, and you have the limits of it. Here they are:

Your Level 20 20 20 20 20 20

Mob Level -13 14 15 25 26 27+

XP Gain Very Low Low Normal Normal

Less Than Normal Less Than Normal

Miss Chance Noone Noone Almost Noone Almost Noone High Very High

Not that much to say, just look at the table. Green is the best way to grind.

3. Grinding Spots + Levels:

3 to 8:
Quest, Achievments(World Bosses, Dungeons, Public Dungeon). Theres no real good spot, really achievments are the best way to grind till level 8;

8 to 17:
Target Mob: Zombies / Level: 13 / Map: Glenumbra / Coord: 60,28

They have a pretty nice spawn, solo them will take some time, but if you duo can do it pretty fast. Level 10 Will become easy.

17 to 26
Target Mob: Ogre / Level: 22 / Map: Stormheaven / Coord: 75, 40

Can be badasses mobs on level 17 but you start at this level there, when you get level 19 it will be pretty easy, specially if you have a Tanky duo. In the up-left road you have a mob of 7 ogres, in the middle you have more 6, down the stairs 2 bears and 7~8 ogres. Becareful! Only tanker can mob that much and even level 19 youll need ultimate and all your power to burst them down. Abuse on synergies.

26 to 32
Target Mob: Monclairs / Level: 31 / Map: Rivenspire / Coord: 84,25

Monclairs soldiers are all over the place, you can start here level 24 if youre duo. Its a great nice spot, have 18 mobs togheter with fast respawn in groups of 3 near. Its a really, really good. This spot works till level 36 if you found some difficulties in the next spot.

32 to 41
Target Mob:D. Wtiness Soldiers / Level: 37 / 35,45 Map: Bangkorai / Coord:

Spot near Evermore in Bangkorai, heres some tips:

- Try not to agro and make a big group, there are so much archers in that spawn, you can be dead if agro 2 or 3 archers. - Make your route as ive marked, to jump from the abyss without losing life just jump on the top (or in any of the sides) of the barrack down there, youll not loose HP, kill the 3 mobs there and restart the route. - The green mark has 5 mobs near some boats, 2 mobs that walks, and 3 mobs that guards one quest boss. I did 150k/h here without doing this green mark, but if you want to, its good too, but dont kill the quest boss inside the tower, he doesnt give exp.

41 to 47
Target Mob: Zombies / Level: 46 / Map: Coldharbour / Coord: 59,76

This spot has a big big big big problem: retarded people. Arround 4~6 a.m i was able to do 550k exp/h here it was amazing i just got 5 levels in less than 1 hour (41 to 46), simply amazing. But its very difficult to see people that knows how the exp works to share the spot. If you kill the mob solo/duo each one gives you 443, while a large party gives you 128. The problem is in level 41 you can kite, and kill a large mob of these zombies in duo, without any danger to you or your partner if you make it right, because youll kite a LOT of zombies and each battle youll have ultimate. Its common to see large groups grinding there, wish for some luck. Its really better to

rock this spot as duo, cause togheter you guys can kite and kill a really large mob.

47 to 50

Once you hit 47, stop grinding on zombies, then go to the Hollow City and start the main mission. The main mission is to free 2 characters, youll have to go to that 2 circles on the left and on the right and do only the main quests of those place no need to side quests. Then youll start your atack to Molag Ball, each up circles is a objective area that you have to clear, once completed go ahead and finish your main questline, defeat molag ball and gain acess to VR zones.

Alternative Grind Spots

This spots are good, i personally preffer the others but if something go wrong with the other spots you guys can try these ones.

42+ The Black Forge

The black forge is a part of the main quest of coldharbour but you can acess it without the quest, get there, jump trough the lava and get

acess, in the first part of the black forge youll have a hude lava hole, the mobs spawn arround and are level 47. Large parties grind here.

34+
Mobs: Imperials / Level: Unknown / Map: Bangkorai / Coord: 46,87

Fast respawn, lots of 3 group mobs but A LOT OF people know this spot is very common to see large parties 12+ members grinding totally wrong there.

Frequently asked questions

Sabbathius asked: Question: leveling fast is good and all, but what about dungeons, skillpoints, quests, etc., along the way? For example, you can only really queue up for lvl 15 dungeons with automatic group finder between lvl 11 and lvl 19. After that, you have to manually look for a group. And if you dont do it, you lose the skillpoint from the quest. And theres standard in -world quests that award skillpoints as well. So whats the point in rushing to 50, only to end up with a fraction of skillpoints? Only to go back and look like a fool, doing lvl 5 content on a lvl 50? Enlighten me here, I just dont see the point.

A:
Well i supose you didnt hit VR already but ill explain to you. In VR you cannot grind, you have to quest/dungeon/anchor/world bosses. You have 3 campaign, 1-50/VR1-VR5/VR6VR10, each one, if youre daggerfall youll do each one, respectively, DC/AD/EP. In the End Game youll have more than 300 skill points. The fact to lose those skill points arent significant because youll only need the 300 SP for craft/side builds. So thats the point rushing the first campaign, because in VR youll HAVE TOquest/dungeon/anchor/world bosses, then youll get all the other factions skill points. You rush the first campaign and get the skill points from VR zones. And, later in the game if you need more SP (i hardly doubt it), you can come back to DC to get the rest of them. In fact you loose a really amazing and immersive lore, thats the only con grinding the first campaign. You can use a wayshrine to teleport to the dungeons, even level 50 do the spindle and get the SP, because the quest to get the SP you take from inside the instance. Of course youll only get it one time. If youre a Tanker you have to get back and do all the group dungeons to get the Undaunded Inner Fire skill, thats a must have in VR dungeons.
