Start the day by welcoming students into the classroom at the door. b. Students will be asked to take a seat and get ready for the days lesson. c. A warm-up will be on the board for the students to complete in the first ten minutes of class. d. While students complete the warm-up, attendance will be taken. e. After attendance, the warm-up will be reviewed and the lesson will begin. 2. Classroom Seating a. Alphabetical to start off the year. b. Rearrangements throughout the year will be based on the teachers decision. 3. Classroom Rules a. Come into class prepared and ready to learn. b. Listen to all directions before starting an assignment. c. Treat others and others property with respect. d. Use language that is school appropriate. e. No eating or drinking in class besides water. Water is for consumption only and must be in a covered bottle. 4. Consequences a. After first offence: You will receive a verbal warning to get on task and do your work. b. Second offence: You will be moved to an isolated area in the room for the rest of the hour. c. Third offence: You will receive an hour lunch detention from me. d. Fourth offence: I will email or call your parents about your misbehavior.

e. Fifth offence: You will get a referral to go down to the office. 5. Positive Consequences. a. Candy or Pencil Rewards- Students displaying the following will receive a reward. i. Improvement in class ii. Respectfulness iii. Acts of kindness b. White Board Names- Student displaying outstanding attitude, citizenship or work ethic gets their name put on the board. The board has two spots for students names. Students with their names on the board are rewarded by helping the teacher with duties such as passing out paper and running errands to the office. 6. Assignment Plan a. Legibility i. All assignments must be written legibly. ii. If I cannot read the assignment it will not be graded. b. Homework i. If homework is assigned it must be turned in the next day in the appropriate bin. ii. Homework must contain the students name, date and hour in the upper right hand corner or it will be marked down. c. Absent Work i. When students are absent they are to pick up an absent packet the day they return. ii. Students have one week from the time they receive the packet to turn it in. iii. Work not turned in on time will result in a zero grade. 7. Guardian Communication a. A personal letter will be sent out to any students guardians who will be a part of my classroom before the school year begins. b. On the first day of class, students will be given a syllabus.
