See how many paragraphs you can analyze in 6 minutes. THIS DRILL MAY BE REPEATED THREE TIMES PER SESSION DO THIS DRILL ONCE PER PRACTICE SESSION 1 - Select a paragrapf of at least three sentences. Read with your hand asap. Draw a linear recall patern with what it is about (without looking back). 2 - Look back at the paragraph and analyse the first three senteces. Complete the linear recall pattern reflecting the levels of the first three sentences. Ex: - > 3 - Continue in not sequential paragraphs. See how many you can do in sex minutes. THIS DRILL MAY BE REPEATED Reading purpose: Attempt to follow story line in bits and pieces, on -again, off-again, while maintaining visual reading rate (1,600 or more) CAUTION: Make certain to maintain a practice reading rate in step 4(paragraphing) over 1,600 WPM (in the example it is not high enough!) Mark the end of each section with a paper clip or amall strip of paper sticking out from the page.
