LETTER OF INTRODUCTION Ashley R.

Neeley I was born in Bluffton, Indiana and raised in Fairmount, Indiana where I attended Madison-Grant Community Schools. Some of my hobbies include scrapbooking, photography, cooking, and sewing. My first desire to become an elementary school teacher began when I was in 6th grade. During high school I took college courses at Ivy Tech for early childhood education. While attending those classes I worked with special needs students. That was the moment when I knew I wanted to teach special needs students. I excelled in various classes involving children and their development. I also had several influential teachers who inspired me, which in return, created a desire within me, to have just as much impact on others. I later applied for my substitute teaching license and worked in many elementary classrooms. I have chosen this profession to make a difference in the lives of the students in the classroom, as well as any other students I have the opportunity to come in contact with. I have had the opportunity to work with young children and students in various settings, such as: child care centers, preschool, Muncie Childrens Museum, after school programs, and in the public schools. Each of these opportunities has helped me further my experience, education, and skills in teaching children. I look forward to the opportunity to further my experience and skills in my own school classroom.
